beis iyar. beis iyar. BEIS IYAR!

argh!
ok, so the Rebbe Maharash was born in the town of Lubavitch in the year 1833/4 (5593/4)*.
Read bout the 4th Lubavitcher Rebbe here-
The Early Years
Anti-Semitism and the Russian Government
Self Sacrifice
Or anywhere else you want.
Or don't.
Don't do anything.
Don't learn any of his teachings. Don't make any life-changes. Don't attend a single event in honor of beis iyar.
Don't do it.
Don't make a hachlata.
Don't do nuttin.
Just think to yourself-today is beis iyar.
Birthday of our Rebbe.
Actually, you don't even have to do that.
You can just think-its April and I didn't even celebrate April Fool's Day.
Shame on me.
shame shame on me.

shame.

*i dunno why there are conflicting facts. welcome to lubavitch.
**When he was seven years old he (the rebbe maharash) was once tested in his studies by his father, the Tzemach Tzedek. My grandfather (the rebbe maharash) did so well in the test that his teacher was enormously impressed. Unable to restrain himself he said to the Tzemach Tzedek, "Well, what do you say? Hasn't he done marvelously?" The Tzemach Tzedek responded: "What is there to be surprised about when Tiferet-within-Tiferet does well?" (hayom yom of beis iyar)
