thanks my frie friend

(err that looks like a stutterin mistake)

Eli, all the ink in the world would be sufficient for me to thank you for your graciousness but there is no way in azazel that I am scroungin around this huge universe to do that. Rather, I shall dedicate this post to you and your (gasp!) mitzvah.

(applause dies down as Eli gets up to deliver acceptance speech)

Thank you Sabra.

I must begin with an apology for making you wait. The slowness of reply was due to a lack of keeping up to date with this (and any other) blog. I do not wish to insult anybody in the very prestigious blogger realm; however, the "world of academia" has me busy on other (less important) websites.

As I do not think there is any true reason for me to be thanked and stand on a podium, this will be brief. I have, according to you, shown myself to be an honorable friend. There was a wise woman who once told me: "True Friendship is knowing one's way to a friend's home." So, i ask for you to show me your friendship by coming over, anytime :)

Lastly, i do appreciate the continuation of your recognition of me as your "frie friend." It makes me warm to be called that (and not because of the heat of any substance.)

eli/ellie

And hun, when i come to your wedding you will know know it is not because i want a vacation to California. (its cuz i miss Israel.)
