Understand me wrong, if you will.

"Some people want you not to understand them,
But I want you to understand me wrong."

once again, r.f. presents an idea so chillingly precise in its relativity to my thoughts

If I fell into the first category I wouldn't bother explaining, because I wouldn't want you to understand me. But since I land in the second category, that would mean I would confuse you and stam tell you shtuyot, in order so that you understand me wrong. Now, since most of you seem like decent fellows (mafia man included), I wouldn't want l'shageah etchem, az biglal zeh ani lo esbeer et hapitgam/mishpat. kacha ani lo eshaker. bseder?

i get from it that some people put up barriers or mixed signals to block attempts at understanding. the author would prefer the engagement of attempted communication while retaining an element of mystery and unobtainability.

i am unknowable. but please try.

Oh and just for the record, I 'chanced' upon that quote and fell in love with it. Wasn't 'looking' for it.

B"H your mom sounds young at heart, I wish my parents would be kids again.

On the topic of parents, I came up with this one-liner yesterday:

My dad doesn't need to dress up for Purim, he is dressd up all year long, just that on Purim I'm not embarassed to be seen with him!
